I believe great design happens at the intersection of craft, collaboration, and constraint. I start by deeply understanding the problem—what are users trying to accomplish, and what makes it hard? Then I design with precision: clear interaction patterns, visual hierarchy that guides attention, and attention to the small details that build trust and confidence. I iterate fast in critique with engineers and leadership, holding a strong point of view while staying open to feedback. Whether I'm designing an AI-powered workflow or a real-time decision dashboard, I'm focused on turning complexity into clarity and making sure users feel in control.
Clarity over cleverness
I prioritize legible, straightforward design. Complex features should feel manageable through clear structure, progressive disclosure, and thoughtful use of language and hierarchy—not through visual tricks or hidden controls.
Craft in the details
I sweat the small stuff: alert states, empty states, error messages, spacing, and interaction timing. These details accumulate to signal quality and build user confidence in what the system is doing.
Design in collaboration
I work closely with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders from concept through shipping. Early feedback from implementers helps me design thoughtfully within real constraints, and shared critique keeps work honest and aligned.

Especially with AI, I design to demystify. Users should understand what the system is doing, why it's suggesting something, and when they're in control. Trust comes from being straightforward about capability and limitation.
